Crushing Lyme disease
one tick at a time
Pioneering the First Home Test Kit for Lyme Disease
Our Vision of a
Lyme-free World
Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the US and Europe. It is difficult to diagnose, as symptoms can take weeks to manifest. Delayed treatment can also lead to chronic issues.
We are tackling the global epidemic of Lyme by detecting Lyme at the earliest possible point of exposure. By testing the tick using an on-the-go test, you can make informed decisions on your treatment.

We are an MIT-based startup working on cutting-edge, patent-pending technology to quickly identify if a tick carries Lyme disease, by detecting the presence of the Borrelia burgdorferi bacterium, the culprit behind Lyme disease.
Our groundbreaking Lyme disease screening kit delivers rapid results and tests for Lyme disease, even if the disease is in its early stages.
Early detection is crucial when it comes to Lyme disease, and our kit empowers you with the knowledge to take swift action.
How Our Product Works
1
Crush the Tick
EXTRACT THEN CRUSH TICK TO RELEASE PATHOGENS
Extract the tick from a person or animal and place it directly in our tick crusher. Seal the lid and grind it to crush the tick.

2
Run the Test
ENSURE CRUSHED TICK IS MIXED WITH TEST SOLUTION
The test solution will be released as the tick crusher is sealed. Ensure that the crushed tick is mixed with the test solution, then insert a test strip into the test solution. Wait about 30 mins for the results.

3
Check the Results
TWO LINES = POSITIVE
Check to see if there is a control line on the test strip that indicates the test ran successfully. Next, check to see if another line develops. If there are two lines, the tick carries the bacteria that causes Lyme, and you may wish to seek medical advice or treatment.

At LymeAlert, our mission is to improve access to medical care through home testing. We want to speed up the time-to-diagnosis, reduce unnecessary antibiotic use and aid global infectious disease surveillance.
